FG RENAME UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS: STUDENTS PROTEST!
The federal government of Nigeria has today rename one of the nation's most popular and sought-after university University of Lagos to Moshood Abiola University Lagos. The changed which came as part of the president, Goodluck Jonathan's Democracy day speech is meant to immortalize the winner of the june 12 1993 presidential election. Meanwhile there has been mixed feelings about this step. While some people think it is long overdue, some others have misgivings about this stop. Among those in opposition of this "great move" are the mass of the institution's students. The students of the university popularly referred to as UNILAG has this morning take to the roads of the school environment to protest the change of their institution. It is on record that UNILAG has for a long time been Nigeria's most sought-after University and has also earned the moniker University of first choice by it's students and admirers alike.
